In this expanded leadership role, Ben oversees a broad portfolio including legal, environmental, public affairs, corporate communications, and sustainability for one of America’s leading steel producers.
Since joining Nucor, Ben has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s reputation as an industry leader in clean energy, sustainable steelmaking, and community engagement. A 2022 honoree for his contributions to the sector, Ben continues to drive forward-thinking strategies that align with Nucor’s mission of building a better world.
Ben’s leadership extends beyond the company. He serves on influential boards and committees, including the Steel Manufacturers Association, National Association of Manufacturers, World Steel Association, North Carolina Nuclear Energy Industry Advisory Council, Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, and the National Finance Committee for the Global War On Terrorism Memorial Foundation.
Prior to joining Nucor, Ben was a partner at Moore & Van Allen, PLLC in Charlotte. He holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A proud North Carolinian, Ben is deeply committed to the Charlotte community and looks forward to continuing to serve Nucor and its stakeholders at the highest level.
